No howling here!

I have already said that I thought that the diverter valve was not fully returning to the CH position.

You are adding supporting evidence to my thoughts.

Its not easy to make sensible guesses following what a user has said about their system.

In front of a boiler I find it easy to work out whats wrong. On a forum its much more difficult!

Thanks for all your replys and advice.

I will let you know if this gets resolved. Just trying to source a engineer now.

At least i have a rough idea what it may be.
