Just returned back from holiday and turned the boiler back on and its failing to ignite and lockout light flashing red.

There is a handy sticker inside the flap that gives all the different light combinations and what the fault indicators mean and a flashing red lockout light and the other 2 lights off says 'Air Pressure Switch Stuck'

Boiler was working fine before we went away last week but as hot water has been on throughout summer this is the first time its been properly off for a longer duration.

I have followed the reset instructions but same happens again.

I will leave it turned off overnight and try again in the morning but any other suggestions to try before calling someone out?

Just odd that it being turned off for a week has caused an issue

Thanks

Have you checked the two obvious thing s before calling someone
gas is on at meter and pressure above one on boiler fault lights can sometimes be wrong

Gas lever is on at the meter.
Will investigate the boiler a bit more later when im home, however there is no pressure gauge anywhere that I can see, certainly not on the front of the boiler like normal

Have a look underneath but looking up at the boiler, some are down there

Can you post a photo of the error on the front of the boiler?

There isn't one. Its an old boiler so the error is based on the combination of flashing lights.

If you look at the Manual its page 40, so basically lockout light flashing red, the other two (burner and main) lights off

Ahh, I see, in which case likely to be the APS or related

Ok so to update, its actually fixed itself. I turned it on again today and could hear the fan start and then stop, then start again, then stop etc. each time it started to get faster and faster until eventually everything kicked in to life and we have heating again.

Turning it off for the week must have caused the fan to cease up or something? Not suggesting we are out of the woods yet but one to keep an eye on for a bit
