Hi guys,

Fired up heating after a long while out of use and it didn't fire up.

Going through the f/f process I got far as checking the power to the pump. No power, change pcb.

As it happened I had a new pcb for emergencys, fitted this and still the same problem?!

Any ideas? Heating was working fine a few months back.

Just to add, I had a new diverter valve fitted three months ago.

Thanks in Advance.

So is the pump still not running?

It would seem logical to me to see if there is a call for heat signal first!

What fault finding have you done? Check external components like the programmer, room stat and motorised valves first. Are you gs registered? You shouldn't be messing with pcb's if you aren't

Thank for the replys.

That was the first thing I checked. External controls are fine, to be 100% I even linked out the terminals.

The pump isn't running, there is no power to terminals 15 and 8 on M1 connector (live and neutral)

Boiler fires up and pump runs on DHW.

Its all very well linking out terminals but did you measure any voltages?

Tony

Hi,

Yes I did measure voltages across the stat terminals and I have 230.

I am an electrician so I am quite confident in following the fault flow chart.

Most Sparks I know struggle wiring central heating controls, the latest is 'can you not do that with wireless??'.......
