Main Boiler (baxi) HW temp issue - now CH doing same

Haha thanks buddy I'll get those items checked out. My pal whos already had a look and is stumped has the gear for testing.

I did notice that we seem to be able override the burner cycling in and out but turning the potentiometer for the target temp. If you do this slightly back and forth above the current temp the burner stays on and you can just hear the fan speed adjusting faster and slower. It works as it should (within reason) until you stop playing with the knob at which case it goes back to to cycling on and off as before.

In your experience would you say the pcb might be playing up if doing this overides the 'issue' so to speak?

Cheers

Assuming this is to test the diverter valve? I'm sure i tried it a while bakc but ill give it a go tomorrow cheers

You are inadvertently putting the boiler into test mode.

If your pal has the test gear, would you like to post the data I requested.
if you don’t, no worries, your boiler, your problem, just trying to get to bottom of it.
Changing parts will eventually fix it but the the tolerances will be in the gutter and you may have spent more money than really need to.
