I have just dismantled my boiler and found the diverter valve knackered and the heat plate exchanger all blocked. I have new ones coming tomorrow but wondered when I should pressurise the expansion vessel as I pushed the pin it to test if any water is coming out and now there is no pressure left.
One more thing when I put it all together again is there any sort of grease or silicone sealant that I should use on the piping washers/joints?

Thanks guys for your support, what a great site this is!!!
Regards,

Tony

Pressurise the air to 0.9 Bar while the bits are out.

Silicone grease on washers and threads is good.

If in Telford then do you take your own wine to the Bengal Spice?

Thaks Agile for your response, I shall take your advise and preasurise the system to 0.9 bar as you suggested. I will also purchase the silicone as well.

I actually use Peppers in Telford now and they have a great reputation. Are you local to Telford then or just visit?

Thanks again for your support, hopefully it will solve all of my boiler issues.

Regards,
tony
