Can anyone tell me if these have a humidity sensor to adjust the fan run time? or does it just depend on how long the lights on for ?

Thanks

A humidity sensor does not determine the run-on time for a fan.
A timer does this.

A humidity sensor will turn the fan on (even if the lights are off) when the room gets steamy. When the steam has gone the fan may run on for some time (bacause there is a timer).

So. what is your question really:

"does my 12 year old Manrose Gold fan have a timer?"
or
"does my 12 year old Manrose Gold fan have a humidity sensor?"
or something else?

I know it has a pearmeant live connection, because it runs on with the light off.

The question is:
"does my 12 year old Manrose Gold fan have a humidity sensor?"

I guess I thought people maybe familier with these.

Maybe not a common brand.

Some fans do; some fans don't
Depends on the model.

Does it have a terminal for permanent live and switch live?

"do you have a model number?"

It's not knowing the brand which may result in a correct answer.
As Martin said.

As PBoD's first question.
As PBoD's second question.

To answer your original question, taking into consideration the available information, I would say -
If there is a humidistat hidden out of sight then yes, it does have a humidistat.

If not, then no.

Does my car have an automatic gearbox? It's a Ford.

Does the fan come on when you turn the light on? Does it sometimes turn itself on whilst the light is off?

Kind Regards, John

Manrose is a very, very common make of fan and we know what the outside of a Manrose fan looks like.
There are several variants as staed above, there are various types:
standard, timer, humdistat, PIR and some fans have more than one function.

Take the cover off and state exactly what the model number is.

If you can't find the model number, take a picture of the inside.

You are making this very simple question a very hard task.

It sounds like it only has a timer from what has been said.
It comes on with the light and remains on when the light has been switched off (timer).

Thank you for the useful replies.
I think I have learnt that a humidity sensor one would start itself up.
I had previously thought the sensor may cause a longer fan run time.
