Hi All
When painting my house exterior I intend to mask up my doors and windows.
I have noticed online masking film which has been "pre taped".
How does this work? I assume when I cut it to length, the sides will be taped so will need my own tape to seal top/bottom?
The rolls seen are 25m x 180cm
Cheers
Doug

Only one edge is taped. You cut to width and pull the concertinaed film down. You will need to tape the left/right/bottom.

I would add that the tape used is not UV "safe". If you are only leaving the tape on for a couple of days, any old masking tape will probably be OK. If the tape is going to be in place for a week, purchase blue masking tape.

The adhesive on regular masking tape goes really hard if left too long.

Probably cheaper to use a poly dust sheet and blue tape.

Yeah the one I used was only taped on one side, and when the breeze got behind it, the film would fly out in all directions. I ended up using at least a roll of masking/low tack tape to hold it down. Bit of a pain all in all.
