matt emulsion over silk,,, is it ok

I have painted a newly (6 weeks old) plastered ceiling with white silk emulsion and it is showing up slight flaws in the plastering work. Is it ok to paint over the white silk emulsion with white matt emulsion ?
 
Get one coat on first and let it dry, then follow up with a couple of more coats and you shouldnt have any problems. First coat might skid around a bit but dont worry.
