I got half way across the wall when I realised my matt emulsion was in fact silk. Dohhhh... I'm getting mixed opinions about what to do. Can I just sand and paint over with matt? Or should I prime with something? I have some undercoat (but for wood) if that will do.

Sanding should be all that is required but I would allow a good 24hrs before doing so to make sure the silk is fully dried out.
