I have a Maxi 105e combi boiler that has developed a fault and stays on after hot water has been used until I turn it off manually. I called British Gas out but sods law it turned off fine in the middle of the day when it had been stood cold for a while so he couldn't diagnose the fault but said they can't work on it anyway in its current condition as its flume is too long between clips and the emergency vent pipe is inside the cupboard. As I have to take up floor boards in three rooms to plumb this to the outside not sure what to do about this.
Anyway he suggested it could be a valve, main board or switch problem but obviously if its not doing it when the engineer is there not much can do. None of the fault lights are flashing and the water heats up fine but could do with getting this sorted before gets much colder. Anyone any suggestions?
