Baxi 105e combi boiler working fine on heating, but need to run off huge amount of water before it heats up. Once it starts to run warm, I have to turn the taps down to a trickle to get the 'boiling hot' water that I used to get immediately. Any suggestions.?

1. Blocked domestic heat exchanger, Do a search loads on here
2. Faulty N.T.C sensor (if it is chrome change it)
3. Check gas pressures

When Baxi bought Potty, they warned the staff that anyone who called anything "Poxi" would be told ""You are fired"".

But that was before the flood!

To be honest, when I saw the Leamington Potterton works under 750 mm of water I was very sad. At least my house had the water filling the gutter but not the basement workshop in my house! It was a disappointing end to what had been a fine company which had been the victim of its own success.

It managed to bring out some later disasterous designs, the Puma and then the even worse Suprima which ate PCBs as if they were afternoon snacks! Not to mention their condensing disaster, the Envoy!

The Performa was a good Italian design ( by Alfa Ocean it seems! ) but it was too late to stem the decline. Every week the Leamington Gazette was listing the layoffs!
