Hi...My Mazda 323 ZXi 2.0 has a performance fault. It splutters and hesitates in a rapid cycle when I accelerate, particularly in lower revs in 1st and 2nd gear. At higher revs it's less noticeable.
Anyone seen this before and have any suggestions? (spark plugs / HT leads / fuel filter?...??).
Cheers !!.... :P

1998...110k miles, but HAS been running like a dream until now.....Hope it ain't anything too serious, as it's still such a great car.
I'll do the simple things as soon as I get the chance...Will keep you informed here. (Still hoping someone has had a similar experience and solved it....any other advice?)

Problem solved !!....

Corrugated air hose (between air filter and air intake manifold) had split.

A bit of tape as a temporary fix.....car drives like new !!!...YESSSSS.
