mdf for flat roof

I ordered mdf instead of chipboard for re-covering a flat roof. will it matter please. urgent as waiting to start.

You need OSB for a flat roof. Neither MDF nor chipboard is suitable. If either gets damp, it will disintegrate.
 
agree that mdf is no good, in fact just in case anyone else is tempted, it will sag even if it doesn't get wet, which is a no-no for flat roofs.
