I have been told that it is possible to replace a curved radiator in a round bay by measuring it and then finding somewhere that will bend one to fit. If this is right, then can anyone advise please on the best method of measuring it and would there be any problems with a rad that has been bent?

Yes, all true and with no problems.

You need to make an exact template, preferably in hardboard.

You lay the strip of hardboard the right length, on the floor, then if you get a piece of wood the length of the widest part, you can scribe the shape using the wood as a guide.

Remember you are marking the wall, not the skirting.
