Hi, can anyone point in me in the right direction for a timer/programmer that will work with a megaflow type HW system?

We have a veissmann asl 300 cylinder heated by an ideal logic 24 combi boiler. The cylinder is on the central heating output of the boiler so presently the boiler timer switches both HW & CH on/off at the same time and we manually turn the room thermostat up/down to control CH.

I understand that CH will always have to be 'on' when HW heat up is required, but would like to control when it goes to radiators without turning thermostat up & down.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

That should not be necessary.

Who installed it? You have an expensive system. If it lack proper controls that is very strange.

Photos of your existing controls might be interesting, including the room thermostat, because one way of doing it would be to add a programmable stat.

Painfully expensive but we have a large household and were advised it would be the cheapest solution to run. Was fitted by a recommended veissmann installer.

When I say CH 'on' I mean as far as the boiler is concerned so we can't use the integral summer/winter modes.

I think the valve in photo is wired to the thermostat and controls supply to radiators and cylinder dependent on the thermostat.

I guess a programmable thermostat would do the job then?
