Been to look at an earlyish Megaflow
Its the one where the pressure relief valve has a bent metal "arm" (instead of the usual plastic knob) as the manual release.
The customer has noticed intermittant dripping into the tundish..
I carried out the usual ,open hot tap...open relief valve and wait till water/gurgling stops...
However after 1 hr it was still coming out as a fast drip.
Water was turned off by lever valve so should be ok.
Eventually gave up (as this wasnt what i was actually there for) and knew I would be back in a couple of days
I recharged as normal..but it still leaks intermittantly.
Any ideas why it wont stop dripping on the recharge procedure?
Its downstairs ,upstairs has no taps (barn conversion)
Are these early valve prone to let by ?
Thanks
Tim

Never had to do it but would have thought so if pressure relief setting the same.

Thought they were less than that.
My last one was a pressure reducing valve letting high mains pressure through.
Worth phoning Sadia but do have all the numbers off everything.

Replaced the temp/pressure relief valve today (10 bar)
The old type with the bent "finger" (22mm out,3/4 thread into cylinder) has been replaced with the later type ,and a 1/2" to 3/4" bush (with 15mm outlet).Genuine Heatrae sadia part

Just to let you know :)
