am i correct in thinking that the main earthing terminal can be located at either :the earthing bar on the c.u.,or a block near the c.u. ,or located next to the suply in the white meter box? -regards
Yes. The last one usually only happens with PME (TNC-S) supplies where you may have the opportunity to connect the main bonds to the earth terminals on the service head.
Personally I prefer to have the MET adjacent to, or part of, the consumer unit.
thanks for the reply TTC, I would normaly use the earthing bar in the c.u. also, but in a situation where the building has only recently been supplied with gas and getting a 10mm equipotential bonding conductor to the c.u. from the incoming gas supply may be difficult,would having the MET located in the white box on a tn-s supply be a good option?
