I have several copies of this on my notebook computer which are using valuable disc space. Can I delete them?

No. programs do use them. they will be different versions and you do not know which programs use them. Some programs put them on during installation other versions come down with updates.

Assuming you mean the runtimes, then as above you'll need them for different applications. They use very little space relatively speaking. If you're that short of disk space there's other things you should be looking towards.

If on the other hand you're talking about the development tools....then you won't need them
