Miele rinse light flashing

Hi, I've been looking at the threads and wondered if anyone can help.

We have a Miele Premier NOVO washing machine. The Rinse light has started flashing but I can get it ti fill and drain but no motor action.

The drive belt is intact, could this be as simple as motor brushes?

Check the brushes on the motor a new set is around £6 on ebay
If the motor is ok it is the controller (new relay and fuse) £8 or £24 for a board repair by post
Replace the shocks This is why the fuse and relay blew £30 ebay
