Hello people I'm looking for a little help with my washer please.
It is a Miele W3923, after washing it is coming up with the check drain fault, the pump is working fine and free of any obstructions as are the pipes all now immaculately clean.the washer empties completely but still comes up with this fault.
I run a maintenance wash yesterday and noticed the water didn't heat up, looks like I need a new heater element also, I don't know if this is related?
Any help gratefully received.

Are you absolutely sure the water isn't heating.
The water doesn't heat in every cycle of a wash programme.

And definately filling with enough water? When finished filling at what level is the water.
There is a reason for checking this! Its possible theres a safety device not sensing enough water or it could be stuck/faulty which will prevent the heater cutting in.

If you have a meter and are able to remove the lid and both side panels photos will assist with making some simple checks/tests.

Can I just start by thanking you for your help.
The water level was approx half way up the door.
I'll get some pics up shortly.

I think now that this is a washing machine, not a dishwasher as I first thought, sorry.
I shall endeavour to help still but my last comment should be ignored.

Photos would be good still though.

Presumably this is with no clothes in the drum, is this normal filling half way up? Sounds as though it could be filling too much. What programme is that as I believe it does make a difference.

I've found the fault, there was a blocked manifold with some sort of sensor pipe attached at the base of the drum next to the heater.
After flushing it out the washer cycles and empties normally now, although I still need a new heating element as it is open circuit.

That is good news.

Still, pity about the heating element but hopefully a simple and straight forward job replacing.
