Miele W827 Main Wash light flashes, machine will go through the wash cycle but without the heater element functioning. Have checked heater element and thermistor. Heating element is OK and thermistor resistance is between 468ohms at nearly boiling and 718ohms in a glass with ice and water. Has anyone any ideas what the fault might be please?

He's put a 22k ohms resistor across thermistor contacts and heater element now working so will replace thermistor now. Many thanks for your input.
