HI all
I'm after some advice:
We had a small single skin breeze block outbuilding/shed built (not attached to house)
It was built using breeze blocks and then rendered. I also tanked the inside of the walls to make water tight
There is no heating or insulation in there - the walls were battened and OSB put on
I also have fitted x2 4" vents to aid airflow
When the concrete base was was laid down - we didn't use any sort of DPM, i then put self levelling compound ( Bostik Cempolay)
on top of the concrete and laid down some cheap lino flooring.
However - i am finding that there is mildew/condensation on the lino flooring.
Is this due to poor ventilation - or is it moisture rising up from the flooring?
The other day i did notice that some of the battened walls had condensation on them too
How could i remedy this?
I am thinking of purchasing an in line intake fan, to help pull in air from the vents with ducting
OR should i pull the lino up and apply some epoxy DPM down, then put lino flooring on?
