I have 2 boys in hockey, and one of them was to be goalie for the next game, so we took home the goalie equiptment. I didn't think to check for the jersey, and a week later, when i get the bag out, here is the jersey bunched up at the bottom, full of mildew. OH NO!!! I took it to a dry cleaners, and was told I was out of luck, anything they could do would destroy the fabric. What I ended up doing was buying an 'oxypro' product, it was no-name even, the powder form. I made a watery paste, and put that all over the stained areas, and let it sit. Then, I put it in a big stew pot with hot water and 2 more scoops of powder, and let it sit over night. It is now the next day, and most of the stains are gone! I am going to soak again. I am posting this because I checked here and only found one tip that said to try lemon juice. I don't know if that works.
