mira excel cartridge leak

please help.......I have discovered a small drip coming from behind the cartridge and it forms on the white plastic surround and then drops onto the wood behind the tiles. I have taken out the cart and cleaned all surfaces well and replaced the 4 seals but the drip still persists. Do you think I will have to bite the bullet and replace the cartridge? can it leak anywhere other than at the seals? The shower otherwise works perfectly.
