MIra Power Shower problem

Hi, newbie to this forum

I've an Mira Event XS Thermostatic shower (about 5 years old) installed which suddenly stopped working yesterday.

For the first few minutes of usage yesterday it worked fine, I then turned it off to move kids around, then turned it back on - when pressed the button i heard a definite "pop" sound and now the shower is completed dead and won't work. Any ideas gratefully accepted? cheers

Has the rcd tripped? Or possibly the fuse in the isolation switch? Otherwise there are several components inside the shower body that can fail.

If you are not confident in isolating the supply and testing any of the above call in an electrician and do not try to use the shower in the meantime

you should have an electrical isolation switch , most common is a pull cord inside the bathroom though some have a switch outside the bathroom, is the red neon illuminated on this switch ?
