I wonder if anyone can help us with this problem please?

Living in an old house, we've recently had our central heating system updated with a more efficient boiler etc. During the course of the installation, our system was drained. Since it was refilled and turned back on, most things have returned to normal.

However our shower (Mira event xs thermostatic) no longer produces the same flow of hot water as before. If one turns it down to cold, it is ok but the hot flow is pretty poor.

Can anyone suggest what might be causing this, and whether I could fix it or it needs a plumber or Mira service man. I'm pretty competent at undertaking most DIY jobs although plumbing is not my strongest point!

Thanks,

V

check the hot supply inlet filter.
or i would say you have air in the hot supply from your cylinder to shower restricting the flow.

Could be air, to remove it firstly remove shower head, then turn on onto low flow and turn from hot to cold slowly, then high flow doing the same
This should clear out any air, also check any inlet filters for dirt.

Many thanks for your suggestions. I suspect it is the inlet filters - is it an easy DIY job to check them please?
