15+ years old Does anyone know how to get the bloody cover off!

Not a screw in sight, tried pushing, pulling, squeezing, easing..... no joy.


Secondly, since I can't get to the badge; what is the max safe kW for replacement?

Its on a 32A MCB and with 7m or so of (probably) 6mm cable, run mostly between joists with the last half meter behind tiles.

Perhaps screws under the knobs or badge.

32A max is 7,680 W.

7.5 , eh? Times and peoples expectations have changed.

If I get a sparks to replace MCB will the cable take 8.5? Or even 9kW?

You could go to 9.5kW @ 240V with a 40A MCB.
