mixer power shower

hi!
first time i have used this so bear with me.
after fitting power shower water trickles through and eventually comes out with the correct force.
coud there be a blockage or is it something wrong in the mixer taps,the supply tap being the 1/4 turn type.
any help would be appreciated

Which shower? What do instructions say about minimum head required?

dual control shower off hot & cold supply,cold water tank is in the loft above shower and hot cylinder tank is same level.
was told by a qualified pumber that it was o.k.

So you've just had it fitted and you don't know the make or have instructions? Cowboy installer?
