Hi, I have just moved in to a new house, but unfortunately it doesnt have a shower fitted.

The property has a combi boiler, which is located right next to the bathroom on the ground floor.

I would like a mixer shower for the bathroom to get a good pressured shower.

My question is, the price seems to vary a lot for mixers, even if the features are the same, like thermostatic ones, etc.

So what is the difference? Does a bigger barrel for the mixer give a more powerful shower?

Thanks

Quality of build, warranty period and name etc.

Mira, Grohe and Aqualisa are 3 of the mainstream good ones.

I personally fit the Mira Excell when I have to, has a 5 year warranty on the thermostatic cartridge. Others may do but I cannot confirm or not.
