Hello. I'm back for more structural support 
I have an attic space that I'd like to make more usable for storage.
My question is, can I remove the vertical post in this picture? From some internet research it seems like have an unorthodox fink plus king post truss design, so I'm hoping I can get rid of at least the one post as illustrated, without having to mitigate for load distribution.
The photo is taken from the attic access point, in case you're wondering... we have a hatch in the gable wall, via a vaulted ceiling.
