Hi all, we are adding a single storey side extension to the existing exterior wall of the house and I have a question about penetrating water...
The design means that the existing exterior wall will now curve around the corner and bend into the inside (see image). The fear we have is that any water from the exterior could trace through the exterior bricks and into the interior. Is the alternative to split the wall and put in a cavity? Or are we over thinking it.
Just for background, the wall is currently single skin so we need to put cavities into the inside but hadn't thought about it here. Any advice would be appreciated.
