I only have one socket in my kitchen which is on the ring.I need to extend this ring to provide more sockets in the kitchen. However I cannot get access to the floorboards above and so I have only two wires going from the socket to the ceiling to play with. Is the only option for me , to break into one of the wires and put a junction box in(will be covered with the new wall unit)and wire around all my sockets and come back to the original socket on the wall
Thanks for any help

take one wire out of the original socket run that to the new socket then run a wire from that to the original socket then there still on the ring. if in doubt just get a book on electrics from the library it shows you in detail hope this helps you.......ian
