Could anyone recommend a product that will remain in place within the joint of an external concrete window sill please. The sill is made up of 2 precast sections with the mortar joint in the centre. There is nothing on the underside of the joint to stop the mortar falling out, which it has entirely over the years. I could replace the mortar but I'm unsure of the longevity of this remedial option.

How wide is the joint?

Normal mortar done properly will stay in.

For up to 10mm you could use a polymer mastic sealant, but that may tend to stand out too much and look odd
