Been using on of these the past few days doing some repointing on an old building before it gets painted.

What a job I've had trying to get this bag to work. When its working its a joy to use. When its not working its infuriating.

ANy ideas on how the mortar mix should be? Until now its just been trial and error, having to clean the bag every time. Very start and stop. At first I thought a thinner mix would be needed but that seems to draw the sand to the bottom and choke the nozzle pretty quick. Mix it too thick and it just won't budge either. I've been using ready mixed mortar (just add water) bags. Would that have any effect as it does seem quite coarse.

Cheers
