A friend has asked me to see if I can repair his pressure washer for which the manufacturer no longer supplies parts. It needs a new start/run capacitor but the uF value on the cannister is not clearly legible( could be 12 or 25) & I cannot remember( if I ever knew) how to calculate the required value. Can anyone advise or is it OK to just fit a 25uF.

Karcher? They inherently blow the capacitor if run on a long extension lead - Very voltage sensitive.
