Hi
Plumber fitted a replacement Siemens RMH Motorised element for our CH three way vv.

On side it has markings W M H
and Man and Open

What are settings for normal running and what do they mean?

Over Xmas CH seems to be on when water needs to be heated, only.
Not sure if a) Replacement unit set up right
b) failed again.

Junction box is not with terminals just little pieces of choc block all over the place.

Are you sure it is not locked on manually open?

Could be he did not wire it in correctly, could be faulty cylinder stat, could be faulty valve head again.

Wiring needs to be checked using a multimeter to see why fault is occurring.

Cheers

I suspect you are right and I have moved it across
There has been so much fiddling on this installation Im not sure where the start point is.

Any idea what the W M H means?

Don't know this valve, but I would assume W = HW, H = CH and M = Both on (MID)

One thing missing in your posting; have you verified and double checked that the ch and dhw are programmed to come on at separate times?
What cylinder do you have, how long is it on for and what temperature are your boiler and cylinder set for?
What time is your ch set for and what temp on your roomstat?
