Not sure if I should be asking this question in this section.

I want to instal a dishwasher next to a washing mchine. The only way that this can be achieved is by moving the sink by 25cms. This would leave the bowl part of the sink very close to the (gas) hob. Would this be legal or does it break any rules? A friend has told me that I should check to see whether Building Regulations allow for this arrangement.

Anyone have any ideas?

It is the correct forum.

Answer to your question is:- It is legal, The only rule you may be breaking is the working triangle. This is only a rule of thumb though giving optimum working area for the three steps, Food preperation, cooking and finally washing up.

Go ahead and move it Katie ;)
