I’d like to move my washing machine to the garage and add the drain to the downpipe (which goes into a waste drain). Is there a connection that I can use to put the washer drain into the downpipe? I was thinking something like a short boss but for a downpipe. The downpipe is paved in and I’d like to avoid damaging the pavers if possible.

Cheers

Others, please correct me if I'm wrong, or am missing current regulations.

According to threads on here, I.e:

You MUST check that the foul water and rainwater DO connect in a combined system. Which means lifting manhole covers, flushing the toilet and running water down the downpipe, or using tracer dyes etc.
After that, if you are absolutely sure - you can get bosses such as:

(Check sizes first).
...you should probably also put a trap and standpipe in for the washing machine.
