One of the uPVC windows in my house has moved outwards by about 2mm, I noticed because the sealant between the frame and reveal has split all around. With a bit of force, if I get hold of it I can move the whole frame in and out by about 1mm.

The house is timber frame with brick skin. As far as I'm aware, the window is screwed to the brickwork. It is a pretty regular looking top-hung casement window. However, I've opened the window and I cannot see any screws which could be holding it to the house. Any ideas how these could be fixed? Windows I've seen before have had screws driven straight through the rails into the walls.

It could be fixed in on cleats or straps then, strips of metal basically screwed into to side of the frame before fitting and then screwed into the timber and then covered over with plasterboard

The entire window is a single top-hung casement so I don't think that will be the case? I opened the window out fully to be able to see all around the frame.
