As many have noticed, over the past few weeks, I have been posting a lot of answers from Google AI.

I was never trying to use Google AI to 'win' an argument. My hope was that, by asking neutral questions, it might provide the basis for a better discussion. I often get frustrated by the style of debate on here. There hardly ever seems to be any middle ground.

TBH I thought, strictly as regards the answers Google AI produced, it actually worked really well. Instead of everyone having to read lots of articles and watch tiresome videos to get up to speed, I thought a neat and balanced summary of the main points was often produced. My idea was other posters might take some of those points and run with them.

But I have got a strong feeling that it hasn't been popular so far.

All that does is on the whole dumb down the general population and get them to rely on getting their 'knowledge' from the 'best'/most expensive AI bots...

Back in the day it was called research...

But it appears that people continue to get more lazy and as recent events show, simply rely on the outcome that 'supports' their often very limited and already formed 'opinions'...

It is indeed Ar*e Injected 'knowledge'!

Not really following this thread as such, but I use ChatGpt to find out answers and plan things. It’s brilliant!!

Ai as you’ve said is very neutral

The current level of debate on here is usually pretty poor. Often there are many pages of what seems like endless gainsaying.

I thought that using the Google AI might help in some situations, just to sort out the basics where the facts shouldn't be in dispute, so that the discussion could move on more productively.

There’s a lot of petty arguments that always detract from the threads topic, and stops it from going forward imho.

Not that I’ve much to say, but I stay out of most things now.
