I have noticed that my fireplace firebrick cheek has a crack in it. The brickwork behind this has slowly rotted to dust. Should I replace the cheek and if so what would I need to do?
If not then what should I fill behind the cheek with, by looking at it I think i'm going to be removeing the brick work immediately behind the cheek and filling it with something, any reccomendations?
