apollo 30si my pilot light has gone out and cant relight it its had a good life 17 years to date is it worth getting repaired or should i invest in a new haet only boiler

Sure it's worth repairing. Let me guess it hasn't seen much servicing so isn't costing you a fortune in parts?! It probably needs a couple of minor parts, total bill under £100.

Oops I wrote £10. Meant £100, including labour
 
Didn't think these had a permanent pilot :confused:

Depends what has gone on it. Could be as simple as a blocked pilot injector.

Appollo are easy boilers to repair as they hardly have any parts to go wrong.I would get your t/c looked at along with your o/heat stat which can be checked easy,so if it is onbe of those parts your bill will be very cheap.I would get it fixed and you may get years from it as they can just plod on,but get it serviced,and as a post said"pilot may be blocked" and a blast of air can sort that out
