Nail gun Q - re fixing of cladding

I will be undertaking a reasonably large cladding project.
This will be treated quality softwood (not cheap n cheerful shiplap) log wrap cladding.

It would be good to fix this with a nail gun ... I have a Paslode nail gun that takes F16 (16 gauge) T nails ..... although I have used this happily on finish nail projects (skirting's, beadings etc) .... is this gauge of nail thick enough for cladding ?

It is certainly the next size up form a 18 gauge finish nailer - but is 16g enough.
