Dear All, I have recently had my kitchen ceiling plastered. When sanding down prior to painting, I noticed that in one area where the plaster was thin, a nail was visible (i.e had no plaster covering it).

If I recall correctly, the nail is galvanised. Should I paint this in an oil paint prior to painting with emulsion, or not bother and just paint with emulsion?

Your help would be appreciated

Kind Regards

Worth dabbing it with a bit of oil based undercoat really.Galvanising sheds certain paints. Then just apply a liberal coat of emulsion on it.

Cheers Robbie, would you try and hammer it (perhaps with a centre punch) into the plasterboard more?
