Personally would do volt free.... which just means taking the 230v input form the boiler.
Sorry, I'm not sure I follow - do you mean follow the low voltage diagram? From the manual I can only really see that there are 2 options and they're called switched live and low voltage.
I'm going to be using two cables that run to the existing thermostat to power the Nest thermostat unit on the wall.
