why can't the vaillant f75 be fixed ?? where did you get the percentage scores from ? there are better boilers than viessmann out there

"which" is full of shyte , how do you think they make their money from . tbh it would be better to change the boiler if you have the money and your right it could cost hundreds but at the same time it could cost a fraction of that . i find the viessmann over complicated with expensive parts .

have a look in the search bar in top right , there is loads of advice on there with pictures to help you out as well , if your not confident with wiring you would be better to get someone in , put your location in and someone may be able to help:censored: or go to there website for installers but no need for it anyway.

edit ; there is a lot more in the search bar regarding viessmann just have a look

Eight years old and it is going in the skip. Yes, these modern boilers really are eco-friendly.

F75 need not be the end of the boiler. It can be repaired and give another eight years of service. If your plumber can't fix it find someone who can.

I don't care much for Vaillant but no way should this be skipped for an F75 code.

Viessmann are okay, Worcester are overpriced and average but only buy the cdi classic, the rest are rubbish.

Ideal Vogue has 10 years warranty. Which? don't rate the band much but as already mentioned, they are full of shyte because they are looking at models that were fitted 10 to 15 years back.

I repair most F75 faults for about £94 in my local area.

At 8 years old its a condensing boiler and just as efficient as any other boiler on the market now.

I feel you have made a wrong decision!

The latest Nest has no use on a combi boiler in respect of hot water.

The power taken by the heating system is determined by the heat output of the rads.

The previous Vaillant is likely to have been a totally repairable boiler with an expected life of over 12 years.

There is little additional benefit having a Nest compared with a boiler like the Viessmann fitted with weather compensation apart from the dubious advantage of controlling it remotely via the internet.

The problem with an oversized boiler is that its minimum power can be as high as 33% of the maximum.

So when it modulates down to its minimum it has to turn off.

On/off modulation is very inefficient.!

Search on this forum for posts from people with oversized boilers!

Sounds to me like you've unnecessarily ordered a new boiler, which is oversized for your house and will cost you more to run. Some F75s can be caused by simple things like the expansion vessel going flat; someone familiar with Vaillants or even Vaillant themselves on a fixed-price repair would be the best way to go here. Most boilers will light at about 70-80% of their max power before they modulate down. If this power level is too great for the system to be able to circulate the heat away in time, the boiler will shut down then immediately try to restart again, using much more gas. Either that or it'll go into an anti-cycling mode and won't fire up at all for five or ten minutes, which will cause your house to heat up more slowly than it would with a lower-power boiler

If you're going for a 3rd-Gen Nest you'd be better off with a boiler that understands OpenTherm technology if you really are determined to throw away your current boiler - that would at least make it a bit more efficient. Still think it's a daft idea to chuck your existing boiler out when it has a perfectly solvable problem though
