Sorry to bother you.
We are asking having the floor insulated for the cost £400 extra, as original agreement was no insulation at all. The wife is keen wooden ceiling cladding, with wool insulation, again this was not the agreement.
Now the builder is saying without the full wall insulation, we would get condensation building up and patches damp would appear in the ceiling. Is this right, or is he trying to get us to spend thousands extra on wall insulation and flat ceiling?
He did try to sell us the full insulation options at the beginning? Without wooden cladding the ceiling won't look flat and look ugly, hence the wife wants flat appearing ceiling and looking nicer with wood cladding.
