Hi folks.
I am what I consider a proficient DIYer, but I am unsure about how to go about this final stage in wiring in a cooker. There is NO ROOM on the current consumer unit.

Any help would be appreciated.

Install a One or Two Way Consumer Unit, and get the electric company to connect it up for you to the mains.

no real need to get the rec out (most electricans wouldn't its too of a fiddle)

look at the for reference thread and find my post starting with

adding a shower CU is not rocket science but you must work carefully and make the connections well
