New Doors

Hi

I have renovated my house and have fitted all new skirting/architrave and am about to fit the doors. i have painted the skirting/architrave in gloss magnolia, is this the best way to do panel doors. It was ok painting small amounts of wood but a door is a lot more surface area. Any tips please.

Ian,
Have they been primed? If not you will have to prime them first and you will probably have to treat the knots with knotting. When they have been primed you will need at least 2 coats of undercoat and the same for the top coat. Remember to rub down between coats.
