I am having a fence installed. The garden level varies slightly from end to end and the depth of the gravel board above existing ground is running out. Does anyone know what depth above ground level the minimum gravel board should be before it gets to wooden panel?

Can't you just use 2 gravel boards for the higher part?
For sloping ground you would normally step up (or down) the posts and panels to suit.
